JTS Completes Seven Years of Professional Care With a Personal Touch

JTS Medical Centre was established in 2012 as a passionate venture of four medical practitioners, namely Dr. Suresh Puri,   Abhay Dandawate, Dr. Marlon O. Pereira, and Dr. Mathews J. Alapatt. They had embarked on a mission to establish a specialty centre to meet the scope of healthcare needs in a specialty clinic setting. Built upon the foundation of quality, trust, and expertise, JTS Medical Centre has gained a loyal multinational patient base and is now set to celebrate seven years of excellence. The founding doctors are highly qualified in their own respective fields, bringing years of extensive experience, knowledge, and practice both internationally and regionally to the JTS Medical Centre brand.

Dr. Marlon O. Pereira, who is the Managing Director and Specialist Clinical Pathologist, noted: “The Centre has grown after careful analysis of patients’ requirements based on the experience gathered over the years. We have added specialities to augment and complement each other to best meet and exceed the service requirements.”

“Currently, our brand is one that symbolises the synergies of the core specialties. We serve a diverse range of clientele and ensure that most of, if not all, their requirements are catered to at all times. Keeping this in mind, we have recently embarked on an in-house expansion, a state-of-the-art setup in ophthalmology with a team led by Dr. Chidamber B. Srinivas and Dr. K. R. Sathish, who are both highly experienced ophthalmologists and ophthalmology surgeons,” he added.

To date, JTS Medical Centre offers a large number of specialties under one roof, thereby providing patients with a sense of comfort and convenience. A true one-stop shop for outpatient requirements, corporate social responsibility-related activities are also regularly followed by the team.

“When one thinks about specialist healthcare, it is natural to imagine a big hospital. However, we wanted to implement a multi-speciality clinic environment where patients could enjoy flexibility when interacting with our doctors, get appointments at ease, and even simply walk in to the facility for medical assistance,” said Dr. Suresh Puri, Consultant Internal Medicine and Pulmonologist.

“Our reputation is built around the fact that we focus on a patient-centric model that keeps global best medical practices and evidence-based medicine in an ethical-minded delivery process. We pride ourselves on our dedication to treating each person as an individual with unique healthcare needs,” said Dr. Abhay Dandawate, a specialist Orthopaedic surgeon. Dr. Mathews J. Alapatt, Specialist Internal Medicine, added that adherence to medical care delivery with a very personalised touch is of paramount importance at JTS Medical Centre. The friendly and professional approach of staff across the board is the key to the service delivery. “As far as future plans go, we aim to expand stepwise, identifying the niche segments to add value to the JTS brand,” he added.

Its in-house facilities offer medical laboratory services that are accredited by ISO 15189:2012 to perform analysis in the fields of haematology, biochemistry, endocrinology, microbiology, immunology, as well as serology. Dr. Pereira added that the laboratory offers a comprehensive solution for all acute, chronic, and elective patient requirements. Other facilities include a medical imaging department, a physiotherapy clinic, optometry department, and vaccination clinic.

JTS Medical Centre has a number of plans in the pipeline that include opening up an additional Centre in Dubai alongside new departments such as cardiology, gastroenterology, and an endocrinology department.

Ophthalmology department

JTS Medical Centre recently launched its new Ophthalmology Department’ under the stewardship of Dr. Chidamber B. Srinivas and Dr. K. R. Sathish, both specialists in ophthalmology. This department covers the full spectrum of eye care diagnostic and treatment requirements in an outpatient, complemented by state-of-the-art technology and instruments like Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Fundus Fluorescein Angiography, Aladdin Biometer with Corneal Topography, Specular Microscopy, visual field perimetry, etc. Dr. Chidamber specialises in the posterior segment of the eye, whereas Dr. Sathish is an expert in the anterior segment.

“By augmenting the availability of in-house physicians from different specialties, a Total Diabetic Care Clinic is already being commenced with a focus on diabetic retinopathy,” said Dr. Chidamber. With the number of schools within its proximity, Dr. Sathish shared his vision to conduct screening programs for children in the future. An additional focus is to initiate a glaucoma screening program for people over the age of 40 in order to spot the condition at an early stage.

Mother and Child Care
The Mother and Child Care Clinic’ has been developed with the focus to provide integrated personalised services that encompass a wide spectrum of primary and secondary healthcare delivery for maternity and Paediatric services.

Dr. Shilpa Mhatre and Dr. Yogita Anand, Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Dr. Radhika K. We have created an environment where a child feels like he or she is coming in for a playdate. We make sure both parents and children are in a stress-free zone with friendly doctors and nurses, where they can talk about their concerns and receive care and advice—at times even beyond our practice hours—thus forming a long-term relationship with them.”
